Between 2012 and 2020, Greencab operated an on demand Taxi Service in Athens, Ohio. At its peak, Greencab was providing upwards of 40,000 trips per year, fielding 15+ vehicles during peak hours. Greencab's service was tailored to accommodate the large student population of Ohio University, operating late into the night to serve University event weekends and the popular Court Street bar scene.

Greencab offered rides for as little as $3 per person in the within the core of Athens where most of the student population was based and $6 anywhere within the city limits, with a low per-mile fee for any destinations outside the city.

Greencab's technology innovation and expertise facilitated the management and efficiency of the operation, with call center grade dispatching software that automatically routed inbound calls to drivers based on availability. Greencab was an early adopter of Square for mobile payments, and also used custom software on Android tablets issued to drivers to track operation in the field in real time. Greencab also pioneered custom dashcam solutions years before the era of cheap and readily available off the shelf solutions, making Greencab a leader in driver and customer safety during that time period.
